REASSEMBLE ME
My parts are out of whack,
So many pieces that I lack.
Because you don’t resemble me
Perhaps you can reassemble me.
My bones were shot and shattered
My limbs lopped off and scattered.
It’s uncertain as to whether
You can put me back together.
It was going well, it all seemed fine
When I blundered into a land mine.
She set off a chain reaction,
Now my heart is missing in action.
Although I’m a hopeless romantic,
These days I need a mechanic
To repair the broken parts of me
And restore a semblance of unity.
