Poem: Boombox Goldilocks

BOOMBOX GOLDILOCKS

Boombox Goldilocks
Collected cuckoo clocks and penny stocks,
Mismatched socks, igneous rocks,
And magnetic building blocks.
She listened to music when the sun shone bright,
Then counted her stuff long into the night.

Pancake Stacks Dax
Collected thumbtacks and dress slacks,
Beeswax and rescue yaks,
Dress slacks and train tracks.
He ate his breakfast from dusk to dawn,
By which time every pancake was gone.

Marching April May
Had tons of toys from Santa’s sleigh,
Mallets used to play croquet,
And ticket stubs from Cirque du Soleil.
She got bored with one thing after thirty days,
And so moved on to some other craze.

Stone Mason Jason
Found himself forever chasing
The perfect cornerstone for placing
On the monument it would be gracing.
The other heads came quickly turning,
For there their hearts were truly yearning.
